Hong Kong Space Museum | Film Screenings and Post-screening Science Talks:Sci-Fi, Sci-Talk
Description
Sci-fi films are not only a form of entertainment but also a gateway to infinite possibilities, allowing us to traverse time and space, explore the future world, and reflect on the impacts of technological advancements on human lifestyles and destinies.
This programme is jointly organised by the Film Programmes Office, the Hong Kong Space Museum and the Hong Kong Science Museum. It features two sci-fi blockbuster films, Interstellar (2014) and A.I. Artificial Intelligence (2001), followed by post-screening science talks. Scientists will be invited to discuss the science behind the films with the audience.
Interstellar takes us to the Earth that is no longer suitable for human life. Can we find a new home in the infinity universe? Meanwhile, with the advancement of artificial intelligence, can we create robots indistinguishable from humans? As depicted in A.I. Artificial Intelligence, once robots possess human emotions, how will their relationship with humanity evolve?
Film Screenings and Post-screening Science Talks are free admission on a first-come, first-served basis.
Science enthusiasts and film buffs should not miss it!
